Hey Jonny,

This is a good reminder that the stories in the bible should not be read just as archetypal lessons. There are also actual historical events, but when they need to be read with less rigidity, we must be aware and make the appropriate adjustments. I would argue genesis 1 is written in poetry form so instead of taking it as a historical account, we must read it as a poem and make our hermeneutical adjustments.
